I'm running sound for a funeral. The funeral of an 85 year old women that was a pillar of Rushsylvania Church of Christ for many years. The last words she said to the Senior Pastor when he went to visit her in the hospital was "whether I live or die...I'm a winner either way." Her name was Alice Bayliss. Her immediate family numbers around 85. She lived her life glorifying God in everything. She will be missed by all who knew her. Not because she was rich, famous, flashy, or loud, because these things fade away, but because she radiated love wherever she went. The love of Jesus Christ. If you were faced with your own mortality today, would you be a winner either way?
